We were thrilled to collaborate with Woods Bagot on the realisation of these concrete ombré pieces for the National Association of Women in Construction Awards. It’s always great to receive enquiries for the something out of the ordinary, so when the phone rang on this one we said yes right away. The NAWIC is a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to promote and improve the construction industry through the advancement of women.
The awards are now gracing the winners desks, mantlepieces and bathrooms throughout the state. Congratulations to all!
The process was pretty fiddly but we’re loving the result. The concrete was mixed up in batches of different shades, then carefully poured in batches to create the layered effect. Then we put a wash of venetian plaster on to finish them off.
