A hands-on, detail orientated GFRC fabrication course, including theory but mostly lots of practice in the workshop with our fabricators.

Moulds

Moulding set up: tricks and techniques
Assembling and prepping bench top and table moulds
Assembling and prepping fibreglass sink moulds
Making moulds for cutouts and taps

Casting

Mix design and methods
Spraying GFRC mist and backing coats
Applying reinforcements
Creating weight-saving voids and foam-core concrete
Demoulding, handling and storage

Polishing / Sealing

Prepping cured concrete for finishing
Different types of sealers and their applications
Grouting pinholes
Polishing and detailing
Packing, handling and storage for delivery.

What you will make

On the course you will make at least the following:

a vanity top with integrated basin (RRP $2290)

a small reinforced table top / bench top (RRP $500)

All of these are yours to keep if you wish.

That is $2790 of finished products as well as the knowledge to keep making more high quality GFRC.

This is a hands-on course with a couple of hours practical at the start of each day. You do all the making
