ERNST & YOUNG

Feature Concrete Planter and Bench Seat

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The complex design of this large feature concrete planter, combined with weight restrictions and complicated access, lead the designers at Woods Bagot to once again specify a Concrete Studio solution.

The angled blocks join up to create an area large enough to be planted and therefore bring new life to this concrete courtyard. The complexity was further added to by the requirement for a recessed lighting strip, as well as each block having to be craned up from the busy bus depot beneath. The end result is a newly activated space where people linger for lunch, rather than rush through for a bus.
